Shamanism was a part of the origination cultures and societies for about the past 30 - 40,000 years. Shamanism is still actively practiced in many remote regions worldwide today. Aspects of shamanism can still be found in all world religions in their scriptures, teachings, ceremonies, and rituals.
Shamanism encompasses the belief that shamans are intermediaries or messengers between the human world and the spirit worlds. Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by mending the soul. Alleviating traumas affecting the soul/spirit restores the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness. The shaman also enters supernatural realms or dimensions to obtain solutions to problems afflicting the community. The shaman operates primarily within the spiritual world, which in turn affects the human world. The methodology of how the shaman travels to the spirit world depends on the region the shaman was trained.
Shamanic Healing sessions are directly guided by spirit, so no two are ever exactly the same. These sessions can be used to address specific health, emotional or spiritual problems to find the underlying causes and to find information on how the originated and how to heal them. This may involve the use of one or more types of shamanic journeys, such as Shamanic Divination, Soul Retrieval, Extraction, and/or Power Animal Retrieval.
The healing techniques used are specific for the individual's needs.
