“We are so excited to be working together, bringing these two traditions into the one space, to share with you. You can expect a whole lot of joy, and a journey you will remember for a long time to come.” Parvati and Grandmother.
Grandmother Nancy Andry Grandmother Nancy is of Algonquin and French heritage and has followed the Red Road since childhood. Seeking out elders willing to teach, her first two mentors were Lakota, one an author, one a medicine man. An Ojibwa medicine woman, then a Mi’kmaq grandmother later adopted her. Community elders gave her permission to pour lodges since 1991. She served as a facilitator for a Native Women’s Circle in federal prison for 17 years. A Sundancer and a Sacred Pipe carrier, she is acknowledged as an elder and a grandmother in her communities in Canada, where she was given instruction to bring out and share certain teachings. Grandmother Nancy is a well-known storyteller, sharing legends from many different Nations in schools, health facilities and the pow wow circuit. She was a staff member of the Joined Nations of Connecticut, a youth organization for those of Native heritage. She has given talks in Calgary, Canada, St. Croix USV, and at various centers in New York, Massachusetts and Connecticut. She also owned and operated an equestrian business until retirement, and now incorporates Horse Medicine in some of her lectures about Native culture.

Retreat led by Parvati sundari and Grandmother Nancy Andry

Fri June 14th to Sun June 16th

Location: Sticks and Stones Farm Newtown CT

Deep in our cellular memories the Ancient Mother sings her timeless song of love. It is not a song from the past, but one that contains the past, the present and the future. It is the song of us, always being sung, always evolving. Deep and resonant, she sings the songs of us all to the stars.

The ancient people lived lives in concert with this song, and the means to live in harmony are handed down in the stories of the indigenous and ancient people of the world.

Join Parvati Sundari and Grandmother Nancy for this unique retreat, using the oral traditions of storytelling, ceremony and music to reawaken to the Mother’s Song within. We will journey deep through meditation, to remember mastery and skills of times long gone, bringing together the four elements in song and prayer.

We will visit some of the creation stories of the Native American and Celtic people, sing songs of Nature and life, create ceremonies for remembering how to listen.

Parvati Sundari Parvati Sundari has two great joys. The first is singing, and in particular, singing for/to the Divine. The second is assisting people to ‘wake up’ to the unique light within themselves, through energetic healing and teaching of holistic personal development. Parvati was born near Newcastle, Australia (some time ago) and cannot remember a time where both singing and helping people, weren’t features of her life. Her compassionate commitment to serving others has been a lifelong journey, which has brought about her own healing and personal development. For the students and clients whom she serves, she offers the rare opportunity for them to explore more deeply the truth of their inherent magnificence in a safe, protected and unconditionally loving way. All those she serves receive the benefit of the profound energetic oneness and unity of her connection with her teacher, Shakti Durga, enabling them to reach higher and greater states of joy and abundance in their lives. “I’m not looking to take you to my destination, I wish to help you arrive at yours”.
