I’ve been going to Muktinath for a couple months now and I already feel a difference. The environment is very positive and calming. I always leave feeling relaxed and re-energized. This is place has not only changed my life but it’s saved it too!
Sydni is an excellent healer, she has such a kind heart and truly has made a difference in my life. -Kiana P.
I am a professional counselor, energy healer, yoga teacher, and messy-hands, open-heart artist. I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Holistic Studies. I am a certified 200hr Vinyasa yoga teacher and 16hr Yoga for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder teacher. I am a certified Reiki II practitioner and an Integrative Energy Therapy - Basic Level healer. I complete my Reiki Master training in the Spring of 2019 here at Muktinath Holistic Center. I have worked in outpatient and partial hospitalization programs as well as the residential level of care. I am passionate about working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, and female empowerment. I work in individual, group, and family/couple settings. I am available for counseling sessions, energy healing sessions, and individual/group yoga sessions.
I approach therapy as an adventure to embark on in order to find the treasures buried deep within us. Whether talking, moving, or creating, each session focuses on going deeper into the constructs that prevent us from living from our inner light. We work together to transcend our inner narrative that suppresses our light from shining out. I like to challenge the idea that therapy has to be heavy, boring, or couch ridden and work to bring fun and joy into the therapeutic setting. Transforming one's life can be messy and it can also be fun; it is all in the way we approach and prepare for change. We can allow “the hard stuff” to be hard and then work to find the joy in the release of it. I work from the perspective that healing has to take place on a mental, physical, and spiritual level in order for us to release ourselves from the narrative haunting our heads. I work with all belief systems and approach therapy in a way that is attuned to each client and how they lead their life.
Outside of Muktinath, I am a self-proclaimed chef and you can find me cooking and baking for family and friends. On weekends, I can be found exploring in the trees with my husband and playing with our 85 lbs rescue puppy, Luka. I recharge by dancing around my kitchen to “Don’t Stop” by Fleetwood Mac from The Dance album and creating art. I am an avid journaler, part-time poet, and full-time reader. I get excited when I get more than one green light in a row and my favorite dessert is a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and cup of hot apple cider.
