Lessert Moore (enrolled Oglala Sioux member) grew up on the Rosebud and Pine Ridge reservations in South Dakota. He is a Sundance Chief, dedicated to sundance ceremony ways for 45 years. He holds an A.A. degree in drug and alcohol counseling, plus has extensive teaching experience (Aspen Institute, University of Colorado & New Mexico, Omega Institute, UCLA, Sinte Gleska University).
